Michael Jordan’s Height
Boy do we have any stories to tell you about this? Michael started his sports career when he was in high school, playing baseball, football and basketball. It wasn’t until his sophomore year that he decided to follow his passion and try out for the varsity basketball team, but at 5’11 he was too short.
It could have been a good time to give, and no one would have blamed him either, given that his Harvest friend Leroy Smith and his brother Larry were given a spot on the team. Despite this, he didn’t back down, as he joined the varsity junior team, proving to everyone that he was a force to be reckoned with.
As all of this was happening, puberty set in and Michael grew 4 inches over the summer, qualifying him to finally join the team. By the time he was ready for college, he towered over his peers at 6-foot-6 and had received more than his share of athletic scholarship offers. After weighing his options, he accepted a basketball scholarship to North Carolina, where he majored in cultural geography.
Also, here’s a ‘fun fact’, remember his brother Larry? He would have been the star basketball player in the family, but Michael made him less tall and used his height to his advantage, while Larry might have seen his own height as an obstacle. Who knows, if he had put himself in Michael’s shoes, we’d be making fuss about a completely different jordan brother.
To date, Michael Jordan is still 6 feet 6 inches tall. Kobe Bryant, Batista and Darryl Strawberry are also doing well.

“…Every morning since I got back from the islands, he’s been in the gym. At mealtime, he sends a message to his nutritionist to find out what he can and cannot eat. Luckily, the reason is that he stepped on a scale after leaving Monsieur Terrible’s overstaffed palace and saw that number turn around: 261.
Nine days later, sitting in his office and surrounded by basketball, he’s down to 248. He’ll pretend it’s a matter of health or looking good for his 50th birthday party. But in his mind there is a target: 218, a known and dangerous number in the Jordanian world.
He may not be in top form at the moment, but how did he do in the day? Michael indulged in a high-carb diet to maintain his energy levels, unlike the usual high-protein diet we’re seeing now.
