After the sad deaths of two 18-month-old twins in Oklahoma City, a fundraising site has been set up.
Locklyn and Loreli Callazzo, both 18 months old, were found at the bottom of the pool by their mother, Jenny Callazzo, on Thursday morning, March 16.
According to a source, firefighters found Jenny giving CPR to her kids around 10:45 a.m. local time after they fell into the pool.
Jenny lives in Oklahoma with her grandmother, six children, and her husband, Sonny, who is 42 years old.
At 1:00 p.m., just over two hours after the kids were found in the pool, they were sadly pronounced dead.
The source says a family member told them that Jenny’s grandmother, who has Alzheimer’s, left a door open so that the toddlers could get to the pool.
The tragic deaths of the twins are being looked into by the police, but it seems like there was no foul play.
Neighbors of the family said that they saw Jenny upset on Thursday, which makes sense.
One neighbor said,
It’s certainly disturbing. And, you know, my prayers go out to that family because little children are precious.
‘They brought out two little children and put them in separate ambulances. And they were doing CPR on both little children. I saw the mother who was distraught, who got in an EMS vehicle.
Laura Gamino, who is in charge of injury prevention for trauma at OU Health, told the Mail:

Anything can happen in an instant…Children are attracted to water and toddlers won’t have the skills to be able to help themselves get out of water…Drowning is very sudden, and it’s very silent.
Sometimes people have an idea that a child will have trouble in the water and be screaming, but they can’t because their mouth is full of water. So it’s very silent, and that’s one of the scariest things about it.
